Un souvenir, une anecdote de vos débuts dans la photo.
A good starter’s anecdote, first time memory in photography.
Last year I went to Europe with my first portable digital camera. The LCD brightness of the camera had been set to -5 and I was misled into thinking that all my pictures were underexposed (when in fact, they would have been well exposed). So I manually overexposed… during the 7 days I was in Paris! Of course, you only realize this when you get back and look at your vacation pictures on a real screen. Damn!

L’an dernier, je suis allé en Europe avec un appareil numérique portable. J’avais joué avec la luminosité de l’écran avant de partir et pendant tout le temps de mon séjour je pensais que mes photos étaient sous-exposées (alors qu’elles étaient plutôt correctement exposées). J’ai donc manuellement sur-exposé… pendant toute la durée de mon séjour à Paris! Bien sûr, j’ai réalisé que mes photos étaient sur-exposées à mon retour à Montréal. Crap!

Est-ce que vous déclenchez puis pensez ou est-ce que vous pensez puis déclenchez ?
Do you shoot and think or think and shoot?
I think and I shoot… Think. Shoot. And then think again. And then think again that I should have shot more…
Je pense puis je déclenche. Pense. Déclenche. Et pense encore. Puis je me dis que j’aurais dû déclencher au lieu de penser.

Si vous n’aviez pas de limite (budget ou autre), quel serait votre endroit rêvé pour une sortie photo ?
