The award-winning magazine Spacing is expanding its online coverage — say bonjour to the new daily blog Spacing Montréal!
“Spacing is extremely excited to be launching our Spacing Montréal blog,” says publisher Matthew Blackett. “We’ve had great success in Toronto with both our printed magazine and our daily blog. We feel that adding a blog based out of Montréal that focuses on a variety of public realm issues is a natural extension of our editorial mandate. We want to help residents understand the importance of local public spaces as well as increase the awareness of how each citizen can shape our urban landscape.”
Spacing has assembled 12 fantastic Montréal contributors (including urban affairs writer Christopher DeWolf and one of Montréal’s most popular photobloggers Daniel Seguin) to explore the streets of the city and examine neighbourhoods, architecture, traffic, transit, cycling, environmental issues and just about anything that involves the public realm of Montréal.
Spacing’s editors and writers are excited to report on how this great city deals with the challenges of building a healthy and sustainable future. We’re also pleased to have a handful of bilingual writers that allows Spacing Montréal to publish posts in either French or English.
Spacing Montréal contributors have been posting since the end of July, building up the archives, and we’re happy to share this new blog with the world now. Come meet the contributors and editors on Sunday, Sept. 23rd at Cabigi (5490 St-Laurent) and celebrate Montréal’s newest online publication.
